ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: BABYLON IS FALLING DOWN, Part 6<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Reprint: September 22, 2023<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Once again, Good Morning! Without any further adieu, let's get\r\nthis discussion off and running for the day. Our daughter, Shelley, is in the\r\nprocess of making a couple of pots of some pretty stout French Roasted coffee\r\nthis morning, and it will be ready momentarily. That said, pull up a chair and\r\nlet's continue where we left off last week.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Once\r\nin captivity, Israel was subjected to the system of Babylon. It became\r\ningrained in the lives of the people. While they were in captivity in Babylon,\r\nseveral significant events occurred. The two major sects of rabbinical priests\r\nsprang up: the Sadducees, and the Pharisees. The Sadducees derived their\r\nhierarchical structure from the spirit of the Amorites. The Pharisees became\r\nthe \"voice of the people,\" pursuing the same concept, and being\r\ndriven by the same spirit, \"Democracy,\" that motivated the nation of Perizzites<\/span> whom God had commanded Moses and Joshua to\r\ndestroy.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Throughout\r\nfour or five centuries, these two sects continually sought to become the power\r\nbehind the throne, vying against one another, periodically taking opposing\r\nsides and supporting first various Babylonian leaders and kings, and finally,\r\nRoman emperors. The concept of the synagogue was birthed as a substitute for\r\ntemple worship during this period of time.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nstage was set, therefore, for the infiltration, some four hundred years in the\r\nfuture, of those very same spirits -- the spirits of the Amorites and Perizzites<\/span> -- into the first-century Ekklesias<\/span>\r\nas they were being birthed. Both the Amorite and Perizzite<\/span>\r\nnations were long since gone, but the master spirits of darkness, who had\r\ncontrolled both nations, were very much alive, camouflaged now in the guise of\r\nrespectability with the rabbis and priests.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Would\r\nthe spirit of Jezebel be able to continue in this new form? You bet! Like\r\nclockwork!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nJohn, therefore, was given the Revelation of<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Mystery Babylon\"<\/span>\u00a0as a woman labeled,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"The Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth,\"<\/span>\u00a0nothing could\r\nhave been more clear. She sat upon the beast to whom she was subservient. She\r\ndisplayed the\u00a0onoma<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>of\r\nthe Beast. He had seven heads and ten horns. She had seven heads and ten horns.\r\nThey two were one --\u00a0and yet to be divided by the word of the Lord<\/u>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Throughout\r\ntime and all of recorded history, whenever a prophet -- or a nobody -- arose to\r\nidentify Jezebel or contest her claim upon the people of God, she has\r\nimmediately raised up accusers to challenge that individual.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nspirit of Jezebel has consistently seen to it that anything which would bring\r\nthe people of God into a true relationship of intimacy and dependency on Him\r\nwas discredited, defamed and labeled in such a way as to put fear into those\r\nwhom she has held in bondage. At the same time, this \"bride\" has\r\nportrayed herself as the true Bride of Christ, functioning within the body of\r\nChrist, albeit with substitute doctrines and a substitute \"Christ\"\r\npalmed off as the Gospel of Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nis a fundamentally different character to this \"substitute bride,\"\r\nhowever which allows us to clearly identify her and differentiate her from the\r\ntrue Bride of Christ. The number of the Bride of Christ in Scripture is the\r\nnumber 17. The deceptiveness of the substitute bride is that her number is also\r\n17. The difference comes in how the real Bride gets her identifying number,\r\nversus how the substitute bride gets her number.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ntrue Bride of Christ receives her character and makeup as the counterpart of\r\nthe Lord Jesus Christ by virtue of the fact that she is the product of the\r\nredemptive blood and number of Jesus - 8 - and the work of Holy Spirit in her\r\nin the midst of the crucible -- 9! Put the two together and you have the number\r\n17.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nsubstitute and counterfeit bride gets her number from the same seven driving and\r\ndominant rebellious spirits that ruled the seven condemned nations God\r\ncommanded Israel to overcome and drive out of Canaan -- and the same seven\r\nspirits identified in the character of the seven letters in Revelation -- all\r\nof which conclude with, \"to him that overcometh<\/span>.\"\r\nThere's your 7. The number 10, which adds to that 7 to become 17, is identified\r\nin the 10 horns John speaks of. Those ten horns are the means by which this\r\nsubstitute bride -- Jezebel, if you will -- \"forces\" herself off on\r\nthe body of Christ, applying pressure, deception, manipulation, trickery,\r\n\"democracy\" in the place of theocracy, and hierarchy in the place of\r\nan intimate love relationship with Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

A\r\nquick digression if you don't mind. Ever notice that Jesus made the statement\r\nthat<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"this\r\ngospel of the Kingdom<\/u>\u00a0shall be preached in all the world for a witness\r\nunto all nations; and then shall the end come.\"<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>One\r\nthing you DON'T get with a substitute gospel and a substitute Christ is\r\n\"the gospel of the Kingdom.\" I don't mean to be splitting hairs, but\r\nthe focus on \"salvation\" and \"getting folks saved\" while\r\nleaving out all the other facets of the \"gospel of the Kingdom\"\r\ncreates a standalone \"substitute Christ\" and a \"substitute gospel.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

By\r\n150 A.D., when the first church appeared on the scene as a substitute for Ekklesia<\/span>, Jezebel had successfully infiltrated the Body of\r\nChrist. By the time the Roman emperor, Theodosius, declared Christianity to be\r\n\"the religion of the empire,\" and himself \"The Bishop of\r\nRome\" in 378 A.D., Jezebel had successfully made the system, the\r\nlifestyle, and the spirit of Babylon to be one with the Church.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

In\u00a0FOXE\u2019S\r\nBOOK OF MARYRS<\/b>, Foxe details the events of centuries of persecution,\r\nblasphemy against, and the death of all those who rose up against Babylon, and\r\nagainst the spirit of Jezebel. He describes the death of thousands who\r\nchallenged the legitimacy of the hierarchical system and its representatives.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nspirit, however, has been very much alive and well on planet Earth in the 20th\r\ncentury, functioning within churches of every style, denomination and label.\r\nBecause there have been those who have arisen -- particularly in the last few\r\nyears -- to identify Babylon as the entire \"Church system,\" they have\r\nbeen attacked, defamed, discredited, and in some cases killed. Why?\r\nBecause\u00a0Babylon is falling and has fallen!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Babylon\u00a0<\/span>\"is become the habitation of demons, and the hold of every\r\nfoul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nknow this is strange phraseology, but when you understand the significance\r\nof\u00a0<\/span>\u201cevery unclean and hateful bird\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>as a metaphor for the\r\nfilthiness and corruption caused by the infiltration of demons, it all begins\r\nto fall into place.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nChurch\u00a0system<\/u>\u00a0has become the habitation of demons, and the\r\nhold of every foul spirit because it is subservient to the Beast. It is the\r\npersonification of the ancient city of Babylon. The Church\u00a0system<\/u>\u00a0is\r\nruled by a demonic principality, a\u00a0kosmokrator<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/i>whom we know\r\nhistorically as the King of the Amorites. It is a system which glibly exhibits\r\nitself in the world as Christ\u2019s order, all the while deceiving men and women\r\ninto accepting substitutes for a real relationship with Jesus Christ. It pawns\r\nitself off on the ignorant as a place of the presence of the Lord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nthe Lord has had enough!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Babylon\r\nhas fallen!<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Babylon\r\nis falling!<\/b>\u00a0Babylon will fall!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Does\r\nthat make sense? No?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis happening first in the realm of the spirit, where time is completely\r\nirrelevant<\/span><\/b>.\r\nFor those who are living in the place of love and intimacy with their\r\nBridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ, He is now --\u00a0today<\/b>\u00a0-- this\r\nvery moment -- showing His chosen and called-out Bride the smoke of the city as\r\nit arises. I will come back to this, shortly.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis absolutely critical to all who read this open letter that they understand\r\nthat we are\u00a0not<\/b>\u00a0attacking Christians who are in churches. This\r\nis not about the Catholics or the Episcopalians or the Lutherans. This is not\r\nabout Methodists, Presbyterians or Baptists. This is not about the\r\nPentecostals, the Charismatics<\/span>, or the many nameless\r\nhome-fellowships. This is not about Messianic Jews who still function in\r\nmodern-day synagogues. It is not about individuals who have a love for the\r\nLord, and a desire to serve Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis about the\u00a0system<\/u>\u00a0which has held the people of God in\r\ncaptivity. Everything about the modern-day church system --\u00a0and I\r\nemphasize that word, \"SYSTEM\"<\/b>\u00a0-- is a product of Babylon.\r\nThis system was brought into the Body of Christ by the Nicolaitan<\/span>\r\ndoctrines as a specific endeavor of the spirits of the Amorites and Perizzites<\/span>. Although Babylon as a city was destroyed, the\r\nspirits of Babylon have effectively concealed themselves, operating throughout\r\nhistory unhindered and unimpeded.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Although\r\nmany have broken away from the contemporary churches or synagogues and have\r\nformed \"home fellowships,\" they are still, unfortunately,\r\ncontaminated by the doctrines of the Nicolaitans<\/span>,\r\nbelieving that there must still be \"apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors\r\nand teachers\" in order to have \"New Testament Order.\" In so\r\nsaying, let me be very clear! The five-fold ministries of apostles, prophets,\r\nevangelists, pastors and teachers ARE most definitely facets of the character\r\nand nature -- the very makeup, if you will -- of the Lord Jesus Christ. These\r\nministries are critical to the life of the body of Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nissue I'm driving at here is something that has crept into the Charismatic\r\nchurches, namely the demand that, in order to have proper \"church\r\norder,\" fellowships need to have each of these ministries functioning in\r\ntheir midst. It becomes a legislated and legalistic requirement that is about\r\nas far distant from the life and love and liberty in Christ Jesus as anything\r\ncan be.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Some\r\nof these Charismatic leaders are still caught in the trap of believing that\r\nthey must cling to some \"system\" of order in which authority is\r\nhumanly delegated to certain leaders. They have not come out of Babylon, even\r\nthough they have left the structured churches. They are still bound by\r\nlegalism, desperately clinging to man-made doctrines and traditions from which\r\nwe were delivered when Jesus died on the Cross.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Some\r\ntwenty years ago I wrote an Open Letter to the Ekklesia<\/span>\r\ntitled, \"The Strait Gate<\/b>.\" The article addressed the need for\r\nbelievers who are hearing the call of the Bridegroom to simply respond to the\r\nplace of intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ -- without clinging to their\r\nfoundational doctrines as a prerequisite for\u00a0<\/span>\"going on to maturity<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(perfection, KJV)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>or completion.\"<\/span>We also talked about the fact that we\r\nwere not called to \u201cpositions\u201d to\u00a0be\u00a0<\/i>apostles, prophets,\r\nevangelists, etc. We are called\u00a0to<\/i><\/b>\u00a0Jesus Christ and an\r\nintimate relationship with Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That\r\narticle proved to be a trigger mechanism for many people. Some folks heard the\r\nword of the Lord and began to respond with their whole heart and soul. Others\r\nwho were infected by the spirit of Jezebel, became extremely angry and have\r\nthroughout the years engaged in defamation (blasphemy), attempts to discredit\r\nthat which Holy Spirit is doing, in the process utilizing witchcraft and\r\nmanipulation.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nobjective of the witchcraft and manipulation is to get some who have responded\r\nto the Lord to yield to the will of that angry spirit of Jezebel, which is\r\nbeing exposed. Part of its primary motivation is to keep Babylon intact and its\r\nexistence operational.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Babylon\r\nis falling!<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Babylon\r\nhas been exposed, is being exposed, and will be exposed. Babylon's purpose is\r\nto keep God's people sidetracked with the doom and gloom this spirit is suffering\r\nin these closing days. (These, by the way, are not \"end times,\" if we\r\nare a part of the Bride of the Lord Jesus Christ, or if we have a genuine\r\nrelationship with Him. These are only \"transitional times\" to bring\r\nus to the \"New Beginning:\" the era of the rulership<\/span>\r\nof Christ and His Bride.)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Babylon's\r\nsecondary purpose is to cause people to believe that they must make\r\npreparations to run and hide from the day at hand because they will otherwise\r\nalso suffer this doom and gloom. This is another lie driven and motivated by\r\nthose spirits which are subservient to Babylon. If people insist on being a\r\npart of the System, they will not escape the wrath of God on Babylon.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Jezebel's\r\npurpose (and Babylon's) is to remain in control of the people of God. So long\r\nas they submit to that spirit, they are surrendering the real rulership<\/span> which lies in store in the realm of a joined and\r\nmerged relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who remain submitted to\r\nthe spirit of Jezebel, to the king of Babylon, will suffer the fate which John\r\nsaw. (see Revelation 17:16-17)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"And the ten horns which thou sawest<\/span>\r\nupon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and\r\nnaked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to\r\nagree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be\r\nfulfilled.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\ngreat whore that John is shown is none other than the Church System. The ten\r\nhorns of the Beast represent the \"kings,\" the means of power and\r\nforce by which the Beast operates in the world today.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

(I\r\nwill not take the time in this Coffee Break to describe those ten \u201ckings,\u201d but\r\nwill hopefully deal with them in depth at a later time.)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Before\r\nthe Lord destroys the Beast, he has put it into the heart, will, and purpose of\r\nthe Beast to destroy the entire church system. Why? Because it is an\r\nabomination.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Yes,\r\nmany people have been saved in the midst of it. Yes, God has done many mighty\r\nworks in the system. Yes, miracles have been wrought. Sick have been healed.\r\nDead have been raised. The lame have been made to walk. The blind have been\r\nmade to see. Great and wonderful things have happened, and many of us are -- or\r\nhave been -- the recipients of those things while we were in the church.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Is\r\nit because of the\u00a0system<\/u>\u00a0that these things have\r\nhappened?\u00a0NO!<\/b>\u00a0Is it because the system has been approved and\r\nordered by the Lord?\u00a0NO!\u00a0<\/b>Is it because this was the way things\r\nbegan with Peter, James and John, or Paul?\u00a0NO!<\/b><\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\nis because,\u00a0and only because<\/u>, of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ\r\nfor those people who have responded to Him. It is because the Lord has\r\ndetermined to have a Bride for Himself who is His co-equal partner, His other\r\nself -- a Bride who has also overcome the Beast, even as He also overcame. The\r\nLord has delivered, is delivering, and will deliver a people from that system\r\nwhich was ordained in Babylon. He has called out a people who love Him more\r\nthan they love the admiration and respect of their fellow-Christians who are\r\nstill caught in the system. He has called a people who\u00a0have<\/b>\u00a0responded\r\nto Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

That's\r\nwhere I'll quit today. Next week, the Lord helping me, I'd like to talk to you\r\nabout an illusion of a re-created city of Babylon, some things that are\r\nhappening politically and economically in the world, how those things seem to\r\nbe related to a re-created Babylon, and how God is using these events to pour\r\nout riches to His Bride, and in the process bring about the final decimation of\r\nBabylon's power of deception over so many of God's people in the earth.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n
