ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: BABYLON IS FALLING DOWN, Part 7<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Greetings and Blessings to all of you.<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Hopefully,\r\nI'll get to the subject today of the supposed re-created city of Babylon, as\r\nwell as some things that are happening politically and economically that have\r\ncaused people to turn their attention towards a physical city of Babylon rather\r\nthan seeing and understanding the Babylon that has been the real bane of the\r\nbody of Christ.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\u00a0\r\n\r\n

Meanwhile,\r\nlet's see how far I can get in completing the illustrations used thus far in\r\nsharing this prophetic picture.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\u00a0\r\n\r\n

The\r\nBridegroom has called for a bride who will be dressed in the garments of purity\r\n\u2013 whose existence exemplifies faithfulness to him. Let me use a verse of\r\nscripture here that I've translated from the Greek text so as to render it more\r\nfaithfully to the intent of what Holy Spirit is communicating to the Bride of\r\nChrist today.<\/span><\/p>\u00a0\r\n

<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

II\r\nTimothy 2:15 reads like this:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Be instantly responsive to the Lord, making yourself\r\navailable to Him in the midst of the crucible, a tried and tested laborer, who\r\nhas no fear of being examined -- one who, by virtue of God's testing and the\r\ntime spent in the crucible with Him, knows the proven word of truth.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Three\r\nwords stand out in the Greek text which clarify this command:\u00a0spoudason<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>be\r\ninstantly responsive<\/span><\/b>),\u00a0dokimon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>approved<\/span><\/b>), and\u00a0parasteesai<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>to make\r\noneself available for examination<\/span><\/b>). Let me explain.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nKJV translates this verse,\u00a0\"Study\r\nto show thyself approved.....\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0Somehow the KJV\r\ntranslators derived \"study\" out of\u00a0spoudason<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>. I'm not sure how they\r\ngot there, but this Greek word comes from its root,\u00a0spoud\u00e9<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>, which means<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"speed.\"<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>By\r\nimplication, it means,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"eagerness,\r\nearnestness, haste.\"<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Spoudason<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>, therefore, means\u00a0<\/span>\"to\r\nuse speed, to be prompt, to exert serious effort,\"<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>and\r\nby extension, to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"be\r\ninstantly responsive.\"<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now\r\nwe come to the word which creates the picture of the purified Bride, the Bride\r\ndressed in white, the Bride who has<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"made herself ready.\"<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>That is the\r\nword,\u00a0dokimon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Coined\r\n(pardon the pun) by numismatists, the word,\u00a0dokimon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b>comes from the use of the crucible\r\n-- the container into which raw ore containing gold (or other precious metals)\r\nis poured. The ore is heated until the gold separates from the quartz or the\r\nrock material in which it resides. The gold goes to the bottom, the impurities\r\nfloat to the top where they are scooped off and discarded. The crucible is\r\nagain subjected to intense fire and heat. Again the precious metal begins to\r\nbubble and more impurities are floated to the top where they can be seen,\r\nscooped off, and discarded.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

This\r\nprocess is repeated time and time again until the gold that remains in the\r\ncrucible has no more impurities to yield up. Finally, while the gold is still\r\nin its molten state, it is poured out into a mold where it cools and\r\nsolidifies. The refiner takes his stamp and places a hallmark on the ingot of\r\ngold. That hallmark indicates that the gold is now \"<\/span>approved<\/span><\/b>\" as being\r\n99.999% pure.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nword,\u00a0dokimon<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,\r\nused in the context of Paul's command in his letter to Timothy, describes an\r\nassay process, a testing process by which the individual becomes a living Word,\r\na tried Word, a tested Word, a Word which has no flaws or errors contaminating\r\nit, a Word which is a living, breathing\u00a0rhema<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>\u00a0of the Lord Jesus Christ\r\nHimself!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Finally,\r\nwe have the word,\u00a0parasteesai<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>.\r\nThis word comes from its root,\u00a0parist\u00e9mi<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span>,<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0which means,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"to present, to\r\nproffer, to bring before and make available [for examination or trial], to\r\nsubstantiate.\"<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Now,\r\nhaving seen the use of these key words in II Timothy 2:15, let's take another\r\nlook at Paul's instruction:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Be instantly responsive to the Lord, making yourself\r\navailable to Him in the midst of the crucible, a tried and tested laborer, who\r\nhas no fear of being examined -- one who, by virtue of God's testing and the\r\ntime spent in the crucible with Him, knows the proven word of truth.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nremind you of the fact that the number of the Bride of Christ is 17. She first\r\nhas the number 8 engraved in her DNA. That's the redemptive work that Jesus did\r\nat the Cross. That's the cutting off of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and\r\nEvil. That's the restoration of creative nature of the Lord as the foundation\r\nof our existence. And now we come to the \"rest of the story\" (as Paul\r\nHarvey used to say): the number 9!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

You'll\r\nrecall the previous series we did on \"A New Onoma<\/span>\"\r\nin which we talked about the character and nature of the Seven Spirits of God.\r\nYou'll remember that the very first of the Seven Spirits of God is \"The\r\nSpirit of Judgment and Burning.\" (See Isaiah 4:4)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Judgment\r\nand Burning\" are integral to the crucible. This is where the work of Holy\r\nSpirit begins in our lives. Everything that is of the flesh must be burned out.\r\nEverything that represents the contamination of the world must be boiled out\r\nand scooped off. Everything that creates the spots of sin with the lies<\/span> of Satan must be exposed and taken away.\r\n\"Judgment\" in this case is that which takes place when we \"present\r\nourselves for examination\" so that the Word in us can be tried and tested,\r\nand tested again.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Let's\r\nsee.....how was it that David put it?<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\"Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness<\/span>: according unto the multitude of thy tender\r\nmercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and\r\ncleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin\u00a0is<\/i>\u00a0ever\r\nbefore me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done\u00a0this<\/i>\u00a0evil\r\nin thy sight: that thou mightest<\/span> be justified when\r\nthou speakest<\/span>,\u00a0and<\/i>\u00a0be clear when\r\nthou judgest<\/span>.\"<\/span>\u00a0(Psalm\r\n51:1-4)<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

David\r\nwasn't running from God, he was \"presenting himself\" before the Lord\r\nso that the impurities of sin could be cleansed and washed away thoroughly.\r\nTHAT is the character of the number 9, the number of Holy Spirit, the part of\r\nthe number of the Bride in which the finishing preparations and working of the\r\nvery character and nature of the Lord are so wrought in us that His purity\r\nshines out of us and through us with such transparency that the only thing the\r\nworld (and our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ) sees is Jesus Christ\r\nHimself manifested!<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nNOW you know why the counterfeit bride -- the spirit of Jezebel -- is so\r\nobvious. There is nothing transparent about that spirit. Everything it does is\r\nto subvert, to cloud over, to hide and to darken everything about\r\n\"her\" nature and character so that her lord, the King of Babylon, can\r\nfunction with anonymity and deception.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nreason why John describes the church system as<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201cthe great whore\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is because the system\r\nsells God\u2019s people into whoredoms<\/span>. These are people\r\nwho are innocently enticed into adultery with the Lord by making their pastors\r\nor church leaders THE authority and voice of the Lord.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

They\r\nare trapped into believing that the Bible is the Word of God instead of coming\r\nto know the Word Himself, Jesus Christ. People get to know the Bible and can\r\nquote it backwards and forwards, but they don't know the Word! They become\r\nfaithful to doctrines, to organizations, to certain leaders, to individuals \u2013\r\nall under the guise that \u201cthis is for the Lord!\u201d \u2013 while Jesus Christ, the true\r\nBridegroom, gets shuttled into a religious background.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Genuine\r\nrelationship with Him gets lost in the maze of prayers, scriptures, good works,\r\ntithing, and a myriad of other things. There are many, well-meaning Christians\r\nwho have a love-relationship with the Bible, with their church, with their\r\npastor or elder \u2013 and never really get to know the Lord, spending intimate time\r\nwith Him.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Yet\r\nJesus Christ, the Bridegroom,\u00a0still<\/i><\/b>\u00a0calls a people who\r\nare stuck in Babylon.\u00a0<\/span>\"And I heard another\r\nvoice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, my people, that ye be not\r\npartakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For Her sins\r\nhave reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her\r\neven as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in\r\nthe cup which she hath filled, fill to her double.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\u201cHow much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so\r\nmuch torment and sorrow give her: for she saith<\/span> in\r\nher heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore\r\nshall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she\r\nshall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth<\/span> her.\"<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(Revelation 18:4-8)<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Approximately\r\ntwenty years ago, the Lord gave me a very unique dream. In this dream, Della\r\nand I were in London, along with Earle and Marcia. We heard sirens blaring, and\r\ncould see a column of smoke rising a short distance away. We went to a nearby\r\nbuilding which was very tall (it seemed to be a hotel or office complex of some\r\nkind). Entering the building, we took an elevator to a 10th or 12th floor\r\nlevel, entered one of the rooms, and walked across to a balcony with a sliding\r\nglass door.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Looking\r\nout, we could plainly see smoke arising from an old, stone church cathedral.\r\nThe firemen were busily spraying the building down with water. There were many\r\nautomobiles parked on the street and in a nearby lot, and it appeared that\r\nchurch services were in progress.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\ncommented to Della, Earle and Marcia on the fact that people were not coming\r\nout of the building even though flames were rising from the roof. The firemen\r\ncontinued their deluge of water over the building until it appeared that the\r\nfire was out. Finally, they shut the water off, coiled up their hoses, returned\r\nthem to their fire trucks, jumped in and drove away.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

No\r\nsooner were they driving off down the street than I saw heat waves rising from\r\nthe stone roof of the cathedral. It appeared as though it was about to buckle.\r\nAs we continued to watch, the heat waves grew more intense until it became\r\napparent that the roof was flexing because of immense pressures building up\r\ninside.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nturned again to Della, Earle and Marcia, and said, \"The fire is not out.\r\nThat building is about to explode. I don't understand why people aren't getting\r\nout of there.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Suddenly,\r\nthe great front doors of the cathedral burst open, and approximately two dozen\r\npeople came out on a dead run. They had scarcely cleared the doors when the\r\nroof suddenly buckled, snapped, imploded, and caved in on the remaining people.\r\nIt appeared that perhaps anywhere from 500 to 1,000 people were still inside.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

When\r\nI saw the roof collapse on the people, a sick feeling swept over me, and I said\r\naloud, \"I don't understand why the people just remained inside. Surely\r\nthey knew that the building was going to go up in flames!\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nLord spoke to me audibly and said, \"You are seeing the state of the Church\r\ntoday. I have sent my apostles. I have sent my prophets and my evangelists whom\r\nyou have seen as the firemen. Yet, they would not listen. They chose to believe\r\nthe lie that they were safe in the Church.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The\r\nfew whom you have seen escape the destruction are those few who, at the last\r\npossible moment, realized that those whom I sent were speaking My Word -- that\r\nthe warning to get out of the trappings of the Church and its structure, was a\r\nwarning coming from Me.\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

I\r\nawoke from the dream realizing that the Lord has been warning those people who\r\nare in the Church System. And even yet, today, at this last possible moment,\r\nthe warning is going forth by the Spirit of the Lord.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\"Come out of her, My People! Come out of Babylon!\"<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

There\r\nreally isn't enough time or space left in this Coffee Break to get very far\r\nalong in showing the fallacy of the idea that the Babylon of John's writing in\r\nRevelation is the old city re-created, but let me lay a quick foundation, and\r\nthen we'll pick it up next week.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

For\r\na long time, both before and after 911, both the Clinton administration and the\r\nBush administration were aware of Saddam Hussein's buildup of, and use of, a\r\nmassive WMD program. Though there was no solid body of evidence that would lead\r\none to conclude that Saddam had a direct hand in the events of 911, there\r\ncertainly was a body of growing evidence to support the fact that he posed a\r\n\"clear and present danger\" (to use the DOD's terminology) to America,\r\nand that he was actively funding terrorists whose goal and stated objective was\r\nthe destruction of America. The Bush administration made the tactical decision\r\nto go after Saddam Hussein as part of a two-pronged attack against the Al Qaeda\r\nnetwork in both Afghanistan and Iraq.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Saddam\r\nbecame aware of Bush's intention of going after him and his WMD program and\r\nbegan moving his chemical, biological and partially-developed nuclear weapons\r\nout of Iraq and -- with Bashar<\/span> al Assad's cooperation\r\n-- into the Bekaa<\/span> Valley in Lebanon.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

With\r\nBush's \"Shock and Awe\" campaign, Allied troops were quickly in\r\ncontrol of the country and soldiers began digging in and preparing for a ground\r\nwar in Baghdad. Here's where the fun began. As the troops began cutting\r\ntrenches into the streets of the city, they discovered and cut through some of\r\nthe richest veins of gold known to man. The streets of Baghdad literally were\r\nstreets of gold, despite the fact that the Iraqis were completely oblivious.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

It\r\ndidn't take long to realize how Saddam was able to come up with so much gold to\r\ngild his palaces, and how he could undertake a campaign to rebuild sections of\r\nNebuchadnezzar's Babylon.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n

And\r\nthat's a good stopping place for today. Next week, we'll talk about a plan to\r\ntap that wealth and create an economic Babylon spreading all over the globe.<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n
