picture of unabated praise and worship,\r\nbut I assure you, we have not!<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\nrelationship that David experienced with the Lord was an intimate one.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It is a strange thing that during all of his\r\nyears as King of Israel, he wound up marrying so many women in his desire to\r\nmatch the relationship he had with the Lord.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>Not until he married Bathsheba (under highly controversial and\r\nquestionable circumstances) did he finally feel like he had a wife in this life\r\nwith whom he could be One!<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#996633'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#996633'>But that\u2019s another subject we won\u2019t get into \u2013 not now,\r\nanyway.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>We pick up where we left off\r\nlast week and continue with another area that disturbs many religious people.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#996633'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The\r\nmarriage between the Lord Jesus Christ and the disciples was ratified on the\r\nDay of Pentecost.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He had their tongues,\r\nand used those tongues to manifest His power and authority in 17 different\r\nlanguages to those who were gathered about.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>From that day forward, Jesus had their tongues.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He could speak through them in any language\r\nHe so desired to minister to virtually any kind of need.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The disciples became apostles and prophets and\r\nevangelists, etc., because of the marriage covenant between them and the Lord.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He gave them power.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They gave Him their tongues.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There\r\nare a lot of Christians who want the benefits of the marriage relationship with\r\nthe Lord, but they are not willing to give up control of their tongues.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They want the power and the authority, but\r\nthey want to maintain control of their tongues.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Think\r\nabout it for a minute.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>How could the\r\napostles lay foundations for the early believers if they refused to let go of\r\ntheir tongues?<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>How could they preach\r\nwith the power and authority of Holy Spirit if Holy Spirit didn\u2019t have that\r\ncontrol.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The same applies to\r\nprophets.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>When you prophesy, those words\r\nare not coming out of your spirit: they are originating with Holy Spirit.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He is doing the speaking, but He is using the\r\nprophet\u2019s tongue.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:9.5pt;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",\"serif\"'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#996633'><span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The\r\nprophet is speaking forth things that he couldn\u2019t possibly know of\r\nhimself.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He is decreeing and declaring\r\nevents to come because Holy Spirit wants His people to hear and know these\r\nthings.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Now,\r\nlet\u2019s apply this once again to praise and worship.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>We get back to our theme of the Tabernacle of\r\nDavid.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>David\r\nsaw the heart of God.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He gave himself\r\nover to the Lord, lock, stock and barrel.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>He withheld nothing of himself to the Lord.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>His number one priority was the marriage of\r\nthe Lord to His people, Israel.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He knew\r\nthat was not going to manifest unless the presence of the Lord was demonstrated\r\namong the people in a tangible way.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>What\r\nDavid experienced personally in hearing the sound of praise and worship coming\r\nout of Heaven as he himself worshiped changed him permanently.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It was a revelation that would never leave\r\nhis spirit.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>When\r\nthe opportunity presented itself, and he became King in Israel, restoring the\r\nArk of the Covenant was his number priority.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>That Ark, after all, was the visible representation of the marriage\r\nbetween the Lord and Israel.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>But\r\nit wasn\u2019t enough to restore the Ark to its place of prominence so that all\r\nIsrael could see.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The Ark had been\r\nensconced for generations in the Tabernacle of Moses prior to be captured by\r\nthe Philistines.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The nation had drifted\r\naway from the Lord to such a degree that they barely knew that the Ark\r\nexisted.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It wasn\u2019t something that filled\r\ntheir conscious beings, and most of them had lost sight of the fact that the\r\nArk represented the Covenant that God had made with them.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Nope.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Israel needed more than the Ark.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They needed the presence of the Lord.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They needed the sounds of praise and worship\r\nthat had long permeated David\u2019s being.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>David was a musician of long standing.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>He\u2019d already been responsible for putting on parchment much of the songs\r\nof prayer, praise and worship that had filled his days as a shepherd.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>As King, there would be little time for him\r\nto personally spend the kind of time necessary.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>So he appointed three families who had the anointing for praise and\r\nworship.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Asaph\r\nwas a leading member of the Levites, a songwriter in his own right, and a\r\nmusician.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>His sons and daughters had\r\nbeen trained to follow in his footsteps.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Heman\r\nwas the prophet Samuel\u2019s grandson.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>That\r\nprophetic anointing of his grandfather was upon him.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He was also a musician and his sons and\r\ndaughters followed him.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Finally,\r\nthere was Jeduthun \u2014 sometimes referred to as Ethan.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Songwriter, singer, musician, he was also a\r\nmember of the tribe of Levites.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>His sons\r\nand daughters likewise followed in his footsteps.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:12.5pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>And\r\nthere it was.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Three families that could\r\nkeep praise and worship going in shifts around the clock.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Three families that learned from David.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Three families that understood the presence\r\nof the Lord, and the necessity of keeping it continually going before the\r\nnation.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>These would be three families\r\nthat would perpetuate the sound of praise and worship for generation after\r\ngeneration after generation, there has been opposition and warfare, it\r\noccurs when true worship manifests.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It\r\nis the nature of this realm.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Let me give\r\nyou a history of this opposition today.<\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;\r\nfont-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";mso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-weight:bold'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-bidi-font-weight:bold'>The Enemy absolutely hates it when believers enter\r\ninto this realm.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He stirs controversy\r\nand attacks against those who lead real worship, he promotes innuendoes that\r\ndemean both the worship and the worshipers, and he seeks to kill and destroy\r\nanything that promotes worship in the Spirit and in truth.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#996633'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>We\r\nstart today with the very beginnings of the Tabernacle of David.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Consider the personal ridicule and attack\r\nthat David took from his own wife, Michal, as he brought the Ark of the\r\nCovenant back into Jerusalem.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:black'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Before\r\nwe go there, however, let me <span class=SpellE>lay<\/span> a little groundwork\r\nso that you understand Michal.<span in this instance \u2014 one like David\r\nwhose entire existence revolved around seeing that the heart of the Lord was\r\npleased and fulfilled.<span style='color:black'><o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>There\r\nis a Hebrew word used here that has many applications, depending on how one\r\nuses the diacritical breathing marks with it.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>The word is <\/span><b><i><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Gourmand\",\"serif\";\r\ncolor:#002060'>\u2018ahab<\/span><\/i><\/b><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\r\n\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>This word can\r\nmean: \u201cintimate love.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It can represent\r\na real bonding relationship where two people are fond of each other.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It can simply mean: \u201clike.\u201d<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It can also mean: \u201cto desire sexually, to\r\nwant in order to fulfil one\u2019s own sexual needs.\u201d<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span you see the statement that <\/span><span\r\nstyle='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Bernard MT Condensed\",\"serif\";color:#C00000'>Michal,\r\nSaul\u2019s daughter, loved him<\/span><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\r\n\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>, you can read that she saw in David a handsome young\r\nman who she believed would satisfy her sexually.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>There was nothing in Michal\u2019s heart that\r\nyearned for the kind of joining with the Lord that David style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>However\r\nshe expressed her desires to her father, Saul, he decided to make a point of\r\nthat by requiring David to kill 200 in Michal\u2019s heart turned very quickly into hate and\r\ndespising of David.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Her reference to\r\nDavid and accusation was that he was simply exposing himself to the young\r\nmaidens who were also dancing for sexual reasons.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>She was quick to attack his motives and his\r\nheart\u2019s desire.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>She never really knew\r\nDavid, nor did she ever share his heart of worship, so it was easy for her to\r\nattack his display has having unclean motives and purposes.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>That\u2019s\r\na tactic that the Enemy still uses today against worshipers who really pour\r\nthemselves into it.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>My recent\r\nparticipation in the prophetic conference in Gettysburg, PA gave me a fresh\r\nlook and reminder of this kind of attack.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>Elizabeth\r\nFondong is the wife of Robinson Fondong, who sponsored the conference.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>She is the worship leader in their\r\nfellowship.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>When Elizabeth got into the\r\nworship, she was all in it.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Every bit of\r\nher being was demonstrating that worship.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>She danced with all her might.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0\r\n<\/span>She sang with all her might.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Had\r\nshe worn the kind of loose-fitting clothing that David wore, I\u2019ve no doubt that\r\nshe would have lost it in her dance, the same way that David lost his.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>When\r\nshe finished leading the worship, there were some folks sitting behind me who\r\nexpressed their criticism of her, saying that she was just going overboard, and\r\nthat kind of display was not necessary.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\";\r\nmso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>During\r\nthe years that Della and I were based out of Post Falls, Idaho and we traveled\r\nthe northwest and western Canada with spontaneous worship, we periodically ran\r\ninto people who disliked our spontaneity and were critical of it \u2014 absolutely\r\nignoring the peace and presence of the Lord that accompanied the worship.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>We\r\nstopped to visit a family in northern Alberta and discovered that the father\r\nwas suffering terminal cancer.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>After\r\nsome discussion with the family, we brought our instruments in (we carried them\r\nwith us wherever we traveled) and began worshiping.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Another family was visiting while we were\r\nthere and they simply sat still on the sofa as we played.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The peace and presence of the Lord flooded\r\nthat home.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The man with the terminal\r\ncancer was healed as we played.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>The\r\nvisitors snorted, however, when we wrapped it up.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>\u201cThis\r\nis nothing more than a crazy jam session, if you ask me.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>This isn\u2019t worship!<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019d never get this kind of stuff in our\r\nchurch.\u201d<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They simply couldn\u2019t see it as\r\nworship because it didn\u2019t fit into their little boxes.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>I\r\njust laughed.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cYou\u2019re right.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>It would be a rarity to have this kind of\r\nworship in any modern church.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>Most\r\nchurches have lost any semblance of what real worship is all about.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They are more concerned with how refined it\r\nis and how it meets the standard of their hymnal instead of how or whether it\r\nministers to the heart of the Lord.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'><o:p>\u00a0<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'><span style='font-size:13.0pt;font-family:\"Book Antiqua\",\"serif\"'>The\r\nvisitors were offended and decided it was time to leave.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>I felt bad for them because there was no\r\nheart of worship in them.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>To their\r\nnatural ears, we were just \u201cjamming together\u201d and making stuff up.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>They had no ears to hear what the Spirit was\r\nsaying or doing.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>My guess is that they\r\nwould have treated David\u2019s music in much the same manner.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He didn\u2019t just sing Psalms and Hymns and\r\nSpiritual songs, he played by the hour on his harp.<span\r\nstyle='mso-spacerun:yes'>\u00a0 <\/span>He played whatever he heard coming out of\r\nHeaven, no matter what it sounded like.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:\r\nnormal;mso-pagination:none'>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p
