\nDearly Beloved,
\nThe\u00a0Name's<\/span>\u00a0and \nNumbers used in the Scriptures have
\nspiritual significance. Thus knowing what they mean can
\nhelp one study the Word with a deeper understanding!\u00a0
\n
\nSo Today Beloved, we will take a look at some
\ninstances of numbers used representatively, and thus
\nprobably by Divine design.\u00a0
\n
\nONE: Denotes unity, and commencement. Such as the
\nfirst day (GEN 1:5)\u00a0
\n
\nTWO: Denotes opposition, enmity, and division. It can
\nalso mean 'difference,\" for it is written that if two people both
\nagree in testimony it is conclusive.
\n(DEUT 17.,6 & DEUT 19:15)
\n
\nTHREE: Denotes Divine perfection and completeness.\u00a0
\nSuch as The Father, Son & Holy Spirit, often called the
\n\"Holy Trinity.\"
\n
\nFOUR: Denotes things of the Earth. Such as The Four\u00a0
\nWinds (DAN 7:2); the Four corners of the Earth. (ISA II: 1 2)
\nthe Four rivers that flowed out of the Garden of Eden.
\n(GEN 2:10-14) and of course the Four Horsemen of the
\nApocalypse. (REV 6:1-8)
\n
\nThe most significant multiple of four is Forty, which means
\n\"Probation.\" Such as rain flood the Earth for Forty days
\n(GEN 7:12) The children wondered the wilderness for Forty
\nyears.( EX 16:35), and Jesus withstood\u00a0satan's<\/span>\u00a0temptations
\nfor Forty days. (MARK 1: 1 3).
\n
\nFIVE: Denotes\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0
\n
\nSIX: Denotes the human number. It is the hallmark
\nof mankind, God created man on the Sixth day (GEN 1-27-31);
\nman works six days a week. The hours of our day are a
\nmultiple of the number Six. Also the great men in the Bible
\nthat stood out against God (Goliath, Nebuchadnezzar, and the
\nsatan<\/span>\u00a0) are all \nemphatically marked with the number Six.
\n(REV 13:18)
\n
\nSEVEN: Denotes spiritual perfection. It is the hallmark of\u00a0
\nthe Holy Spirit at work. Also the number Seven is the number\u00a0
\nwhich regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation,
\nin insects, birds, animals, and mankind.
\n
\nEIGHT: Denotes a new beginning.
\n
\nNINE Denotes finality or judgment. The number Nine
\nis seen in all cases when judgment is the subject.
\n
\nTEN: Denotes Ordinal Perfection. Such as the Ten
\nCommandments ( EX 20:2-17) It is another new first after
\nthe Ninth digit, when numeration commences anew.
\n
\nELEVEN: Denotes disorder, and disorganization. (2 KINGS 25:2)
\nand (JER 52:5)
\n
\nTWELVE: Denotes Governmental perfection. It is the number or
\nfactor of things that have to do with government in the Heavens
\nand on Earth. Such as The Twelve Tribes of Israel, ( GEN 49:28)
\nand Twelve Apostles. (MARK 3:14) etc.
\n
\nTHIRTEEN: Denotes rebellion. It is written: \"In the thirteenth year
\nthey rebelled' (GEN 14:4)
\n
\nNow Beloved, I hope that will help you find a deeper level of\u00a0

\n\n\nMy Children<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n\n\u201cAnd he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his \nfather saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed \nhim.\u201d \u2013 Luke 15:20<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nA few years ago, in our son's mailbox there was a letter addressed, - To the \nParents of _______ [our son's name],- so he dutifully gave it to us. It was \ninformation about a student loan. We all had a good laugh about it because this \nstudent was\u00a0now a grown man!\u00a0He had recently decided to go back to school \nbecause he felt he could now give it his\u00a0undivided attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nActually, it felt good to read the words \u201cTo the Parents of.\u201d It reminded me \nthat no matter how old your children are, they are always your children. \nWherever they travel, your heart and prayers go with them. If they suffer pain, \nyou suffer also. You are always concerned with their decisions and plans, though \nyou no longer make decisions for them. It is impossible to become an \u201cunparent<\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nThis even holds true for a child who makes poor choices in life. Today's focus \nverse comes from the story of the Prodigal Son, who decided to take his \ninheritance early and leave home. The young man chose a destructive lifestyle, \nand although Scripture does not say what the father felt, we can imagine his \nheartbreak. By the fact that the father was watching for his wayward son's \nreturn, we know that his love was steadfast in spite of his son's actions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nWhen we surrender our lives to God and ask Jesus to be our Savior, we become \nchildren of God (Romans 8:16). Being human, the only way we can begin to \ncomprehend the great love God has for His children is to relate it to how we \nfeel about our own children. Yet God's love is far greater.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nIf God loves us so much that He would give His only begotten Son, Jesus, to \nsuffer and die on a cross, then imagine how He must hurt when a person chooses \nto turn away from Him. Knowing that one is headed toward a lost eternity, He \ngrieves even more than we do. Like us, God cannot forget even the ones who \ndecide to leave Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\nThe Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish. When we pray for \nour unsaved children, we can claim promises in God's Word and trust that He is \ncalling after them. Though they make poor decisions, we never stop loving them, \nand neither will God. He wants them to be in His care even more than we do.<\/span><\/p>\n
