ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: DREAMS FROM THE LORD I<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\r\n\r\n\r\nHowdy, Howdy, Howdy!<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\nWow! Another week has gone by! Already, even.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\nMmmmmm<\/span><\/span>...........Mmmmmm<\/span>.........Mmmmmm<\/span>! \r\nSmell that aroma of that wonderful French Roasted Columbian\u00a0Supremo<\/span>! \r\nNow THERE's a smell to start the day with! The French Press is full and almost \r\nrunning over. Pour yourself a cup. There might even be one of those \r\nmaple-covered \"vitamins\" lying around somewhere.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nI\u2019ve been promising for several weeks to share some rather remarkable \r\nexperiences that Della and I had while at the Heaven & Earth-themed \r\ncamp-meeting\/conference in Red Deer, Alberta in July and August. On Saturday\u00a0nite<\/span>, \r\nAugust 7th<\/sup>, \r\nDella and I had parallel dreams. By that I mean that what I dreamed meshed with \r\nwhat Della dreamed and vice-versa. She actually dreamed the portion of a \r\nprophetic experience in which she fulfilled her commission from the Lord, just \r\nas I dreamed the portion of the same experience in which I fulfilled my \r\ncommission.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\nDREAM NUMBER ONE, Part One<\/span><\/b><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nOver the past months, we have been receiving multiple invitations to come and \r\nvisit and minister in numerous places around the world \u2013 Kenya, Pakistan, India, \r\nand Ghana \u2013 even such faraway places as Alaska. (Grin!) We\u2019ve yet to take folks \r\nup on those invitations, but that day seems just around the corner.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThis dream began with an invitation from a pastor in Russia for Della and me to \r\ncome and minister to a group of Christians in Moscow. That seemed rather \r\nfortuitous since I\u2019d had an indication from the Lord some years ago that He \r\nwould be sending me to Russia from time to time.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe time came for Della and me to board our flight to Moscow when I suddenly \r\nfelt a check in my spirit. I said to Della, \u201cHoney, I\u2019m feeling something really \r\nstrange or out of kilter concerning this trip. Though we rarely travel apart, \r\nthis is one time when I think you should remain behind until I arrive and get a \r\nfeel for the lay of the land. I\u2019ll call you when I get situated and you can \r\nboard the next flight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere was agreement between us that this was the best course to follow in view \r\nof the warning from the Holy Spirit and I went ahead and boarded the flight \r\nalone.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWhen my flight landed in Moscow, a fairly well-dressed gentleman met me at the \r\nplane and said he was there to escort me to my destination. Because I\u2019d never \r\nmet the pastor in person who\u2019d invited me, I made the assumption that this man \r\nwas the same individual. He acted as though he was the pastor, but never came \r\nout and said so. I should have caught it, but because of the newness of my \r\nsurroundings and my attention on the very different scenery and skyline of the \r\ncity, I was distracted enough not to actually verify who the gentleman was.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWe got into what seemed to be a rather official-looking vehicle and I was taken \r\ninto downtown Moscow. I was a bit surprised when we pulled up in front of what \r\nseemed to be a large government building. A church building or even a home would \r\nhave been more expected. The gentleman escorted me into the building and it was \r\nthen that I realized we were at the headquarters of the Russian secret police or \r\nFSB (what the old KGB evolved into).<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nMy surprise evoked the comment, \u201cWow! What are we doing here?\u201d My escort then \r\nintroduced himself as an officer (obviously high officer) of the Russian police. \r\nI said to him, \u201cI thought we were going to a church or perhaps a home. Why are \r\nwe here?\u201d He responded that I was under arrest.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cUnder arrest?\u201d I exclaimed. \u201cFor what?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cWe received word that you were coming to Russia as an agent for the U.S. \r\nGovernment and that you are here as a spy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nI couldn\u2019t help but laugh uproariously. \u201cYou\u2019ve got to be kidding? Me a spy? I\u2019m \r\na minister of the Gospel and a representative of the Kingdom of God. I\u2019m not \r\nhere to spy on anyone! I\u2019m here to minister to the needs of people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe silliness of the accusation was hard to digest and I just shook my head in \r\ndisbelief. The look on this officer\u2019s face, however, was anything but genial and \r\nhe obviously wasn\u2019t buying my defense. He directed me to a rather bleak-looking \r\nroom with nothing but a desk, a chair and a very plain and hard leather sofa. He \r\nleft and I was alone in the room for some indeterminate length of time.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSometime thereafter two other officers appeared indicating that I was to follow \r\nthem. They led me to another location. It wasn\u2019t a prison in the sense that I \r\ncould see bars or barbed-wire fencing, but it was most certainly a secure \r\nlocation from which there was no easy escape. I might have likened it to \r\n\u201cquarters for political prisoners.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe surroundings were bleak at best. The room temperature was below normal. The \r\nwalls of the rooms (there was a combination kitchen and living room, and a room \r\nwith a very sparse bed) were a dull grey-green \u2013 uninviting to say the least. \r\nOnce a day, I was brought an adequate, though not over-abundant meal. Since \r\nDella and I have been used to semi-fasting with one meal a day on many \r\noccasions, receiving only one meal a day was no big deal.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nI was concerned, however, that I had not been able to contact Della. I\u2019d been \r\nrefused any telephone or mail privileges and I knew that she would wonder what \r\nin the world happened to me. At the same time, I knew that the check in my \r\nspirit that had prevented her from traveling with me would have had an impact on \r\nher; and I was sure she would have been making inquiries to track me down. At \r\nthe very least, I was sure that she would be praying and interceding.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nAfter days had turned into weeks, and weeks into months, time became almost \r\nmeaningless. I really had no concept of how long I was being made a prisoner. No \r\ntrial had taken place. No court proceedings had ensued. No official charges had \r\nbeen lodged against me to which I could answer.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIt dawned on me one day that I was wasting perfectly good opportunities to be \r\nwho I am in Christ Jesus, and to allow His grace, His love and His Glory to work \r\nthrough me to the few people I had daily contact with. Food was being brought to \r\nme daily by someone. There were other individuals who periodically checked in on \r\nme. I needed to begin ministering the love of the Lord Jesus Christ to them. And \r\nthat\u2019s exactly what I did.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nMy reaction from them at first was skeptical, then curious, then receptive. It \r\nseemed I was making some real headway.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nOne day the officer came to see me who had put me there in the first place. When \r\nI began to share the Lord with him, he became angry. The more I talked the \r\nangrier he became. Finally he could take no more. He grabbed me by the arm and \r\nsaid, \u201cI\u2019m going to show you what we do with Christians!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nI was forcibly hauled out of the room and taken to another facility. My first \r\nreaction when I saw the place from the outside was that it was some kind of \r\nwarehouse. When we entered the building, it was clear that it was a whole lot \r\nmore than a warehouse. A large steel cage with vertical and horizontal bars was \r\nin the middle of the place. My initial estimate was that it was roughly 40 feet \r\nlong by perhaps 16 feet wide.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nBut that wasn\u2019t the focus. In the cage were perhaps 30 or 40 (or more) people \r\nwho were in grotesque condition.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe Russian officer unlocked the door of the cage, threw me in and promptly \r\nleft. The condition of these people was far worse than words can adequately \r\nconvey. Their faces were chewed and gouged. Many of them were missing fingers, \r\ntoes, hands, feet, and in some cases arms and legs or parts thereof. Some faces \r\nwere missing noses and others eyes. They were literally attacking one another \r\nwith intent to kill or destroy. Talk about \u201cbiting and devouring one another!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSome had fashioned metal pieces around their arms or wrists and formed claws \r\nwith which they struck at one another taking bits of flesh each time. A few were \r\ngrabbing the wrists or legs of others and taking hunks of flesh and eating them. \r\nThe blood was flowing profusely from the faces and bodies of most of them. They \r\nwere resorting to cannibalism. The shock of what I saw literally woke me from my \r\ndream.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nI awakened in horror wondering why in the world I was having this dream. Shaking \r\nmyself awake I got myself a drink of water, used the restroom and headed back to \r\nbed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nDREAM NUMBER ONE, Part Two<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe dream picked up right where it had left off. As it resumed, it dawned on me \r\nthat the reason these people were behaving in such animalistic ways was because \r\nthey were starving. I saw that a ration of food was being brought to them, but \r\nit wasn\u2019t enough to go around. As the food was delivered \u2013 literally dumped in \u2013 \r\npeople scrambled for any portion they could get their hands on. The fighting \r\nensued because there wasn\u2019t enough to go around. They were literally biting and \r\ndevouring one another because of it. Even those who did get some of the food \r\nwere not getting enough to meet their needs. They were not satisfied. A few of \r\nthem were near death.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIt was likewise apparent to me that this had been going on for a long time. The \r\nbones that littered the outside of the cage were mute testimony to those who had \r\nbeen killed off.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe horror of what I was seeing was more than I could stand. When these caged \r\npeople saw me they came after me, claws swiping at me. I ducked and dodged and \r\nlifted up my right hand toward them.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cThis stops right now,\u201d I commanded with a loud voice. Everyone froze \r\nmomentarily.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSomeone in the back of the group shouted, \u201cOh yeah? Just who do you think you \r\nare?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cI\u2019m a representative of the Kingdom of God and a servant, a messenger, a friend \r\nof the Lord Jesus Christ.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWith scarcely a pause I lifted my hand again and spoke loudly. \u201cI command and \r\ndeclare peace in your midst in the name of Jesus.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere was no time to waste. The words kept on coming. \u201cAnd in the name of Jesus \r\nI declare and decree healing to all of you. Health! Wholeness! Restoration! \r\nCreative miracles for each of you!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThroughout my many years of ministry I\u2019ve seen creative miracles \u2013 restorative \r\nmiracles, flesh renewed, new limbs grown \u2013 but what I saw unfold before my eyes \r\nwas stunning! The mutilated and gouged faces suddenly became new. New noses \r\nappeared. Eyes appeared in formerly gouged-out sockets. Arms and legs appeared \r\nwhere people had lost them. New fingers and toes grew out. Scarred and bloody \r\nflesh healed over and became as new.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIn a matter of a few moments every single person standing there was whole and \r\nrestored! Metal implements that had been fashioned as weapons fell to the floor. \r\nI saw a people \u2013 all of whom had been thrown into this prison cage because they \r\nprofessed to be born-again, committed Christians \u2013 looked around at each with a \r\nvery different gaze.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nRemembering that all this butchery had begun because these folks were being \r\nstarved to death, I again lifted up my hand.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cIn the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command and decree a feast spread before \r\nyou \u2013 an abundance from which to eat!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nInstantly a long table appeared in their midst spread with a feast fit for a \r\nking. I didn\u2019t have to invite folks to eat. They began to eat ravenously. The \r\nfeasting continued until every person was thorough satiated. The atmosphere in \r\nthe cage changed rapidly. People began to turn to one another and repent. There \r\nwas a display of love and forgiveness that went around that group the likes of \r\nwhich are hard to describe.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nSuddenly I heard the door of the \u201cwarehouse\u201d open and the Russian officer strode \r\nin. He was obviously expecting to either see my corpse or find me in the same \r\ncondition as the rest of the people. He opened the door of the cage and looked \r\nin because he couldn\u2019t believe what he was seeing through the bars.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nUtter amazement flooded his face, then shock, and then tears. He fell to his \r\nknees in the gateway and began to cry out in repentance. In minutes he had \r\naccepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWhen he finally got to his feet, he turned to the people and began to openly \r\napologize and repent for his behavior towards them. He said to me, \u201cI\u2019m so \r\nsorry! I had no idea of the reality of Jesus Christ. I thought this was some \r\nkind of religious myth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nHe continued, \u201cYou\u2019re free to go.\u201d He threw open the cage door and stood back. \r\nHe turned again to face the others and said, \u201cYou, too, are free to go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIn that moment it dawned on me that four years had passed since I had been \r\nseized and arrested. There had been no communication whatsoever between me and \r\nDella and no opportunity to let her know what had happened. I said to the \r\nofficer, \u201cSir, I need to contact my wife. I need to get to a telephone and call \r\nher.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nHe said, \u201cFollow me,\u201d took me back to the FSB headquarters and ushered me into a \r\nroom where there was a telephone and opportunity for privacy. I called home and \r\nDella\u2019s Mom answered the phone.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cWe knew you would call. We\u2019ve been praying and interceding for you.\u201d She handed \r\nthe telephone to Della who began to talk about the daily gatherings and nonstop \r\nintercession that had gone on for me.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\u201cWe knew the Lord was going to intervene for you and set you free.\u201d Della went \r\non to share how when no word had been forthcoming from me after departing for \r\nMoscow, she called the pastor who\u2019d invited us in the first place. He had \r\nadvised her that he\u2019d been delayed in getting to the airport and later \r\ndiscovered that I\u2019d been arrested.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere was an unshakeable confidence that despite the lack of word of any kind, \r\nGod was at work in the situation. People in our fellowship, friends and \r\nfellow-believers spread abroad were contacted and the intercession began.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nEarlier I said that Della had a parallel dream which actually meshed into my \r\ndream. I\u2019ll let her share her portion of this which began after I\u2019d awakened \r\nfrom the first part of the dream, gotten my drink of water, used the restroom \r\nand gone back to bed.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nDREAM NUMBER TWO<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIn my dream I was gathered together with a large number of people in a home \r\nsetting. Many of the faces were those of people I did not recognize, although \r\nthere were many others that were.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nWe were obviously engaged in prayer and intercession. At first it was not clear \r\nto me why we were gathered in prayer or where the focus of our prayers was \r\ntargeted. My looking around the room made it clear that\u00a0Reg<\/span>\u00a0was \r\nnot there and he was not a part of the gathering.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIt took some time \u2013 and it was a bit later in the dream \u2013 that I realized that \r\nhe was the focus of the prayer and intercession and that we were praying for his \r\nrestoration. At that moment, however, it was not clear that the restoration was \r\nhis being restored to us, or that he was actually missing and his whereabouts \r\nunknown. That was something the Holy Spirit showed me later \u2013 and particularly \r\nafter awakening from my dream.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere were a number of declarations and decrees during the prayers being \r\noffered. Healing, restoration, cleansing, wholeness, health and resurrection \r\nlife were all a part of the declaring taking place. The breaking of bondage and \r\nsetting free were clearly a purposeful intent on the part of those praying.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nOne sister in the Lord who had been alienated from us for a number of years \r\nbecause she had earlier rejected a Word of correction and admonition was there. \r\nRestoration and healing in our relationship had obviously taken place. She was \r\nclinging to me like a magnet and often saying, \u201cI want what you have in God \u2013 \r\nand more!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nAt one point during the time of prayer, I had a glass in hand and I was handing \r\nit to someone. It slipped from my hand and shattered on the floor. The Holy \r\nSpirit spoke to me and said, \u201cThe bondage has been broken and the prison doors \r\nhave opened.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nAt that moment I awoke from my dream unaware of the significance of what the \r\nHoly Spirit had said, or that it paralleled the moment in time when the door of \r\nthe steel cage swung open for\u00a0Reg<\/span>\u00a0and \r\nhe was told that he was free to go.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n* * * * * * * *<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nThe spiritual parallels and the prophetic Word that the Holy Spirit gave us in \r\nand through these dreams \u2013 both to the body of Christ, and to the leaders and \r\nshepherds in the body \u2013 was far-reaching. That\u2019s where we\u2019ll go with the next \r\nCoffee Break.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Holy Spirit is moving and operating in this day and age in non-traditional \r\nways; and any attempts we make to box Him in or try to second-guess Him are \r\ndoomed to failure. Those who are willing to hear what He has to say and are \r\nready to \u201coperate outside the box\u201d will see and experience the Glory of the \r\nLord!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\r\n
