Today we shift gears to the next phase of this adventure – and this is no less important to our development in Christ than any of the previous stages. Perhaps one of the least understood facets in the way that David expresses himself in the 23rd Psalm, his statement that “My cup runneth over,” uses phraseology that is long lost in modern speech.

We’re going to run long today in an effort to wrap up this portion of our Psalm 23 adventure. We finished up last week talking about David’s expansion of the families of worshipers. Take a look, if you will, at I Chronicles 25.

And another good Friday morning to y’all. Guess I really thought I’d be able to wrap up this discussion on David’s statement, Thou anointest my head with oil, but after seeing notes that I’ve taken with the ongoing, almost daily revelations from Holy Spirit, it is apparent that we are going to be at this for a few more weeks.
