SINCE YOU ARE ZEALOUS FOR SPIRITUAL GIFTS,
LET IT BE FOR THE EDIFICATION OF THE CHURCH
THAT YOU SEEK TO EXCEL.

Dearly Beloved,
The Name's and Numbers used in the Scriptures have
spiritual significance. Thus knowing what they mean can
help one study the Word with a deeper understanding! 

So Today Beloved, we will take a look at some
instances of numbers used representatively, and thus
probably by Divine design. 

ONE: Denotes unity, and commencement. Such as the
first day (GEN 1:5) 

TWO: Denotes opposition, enmity, and division. It can
also mean 'difference," for it is written that if two people both
agree in testimony it is conclusive.
(DEUT 17.,6 & DEUT 19:15)

THREE: Denotes Divine perfection and completeness. 
Such as The Father, Son & Holy Spirit, often called the
"Holy Trinity."

FOUR: Denotes things of the Earth. Such as The Four 
Winds (DAN 7:2); the Four corners of the Earth. (ISA II: 1 2)
the Four rivers that flowed out of the Garden of Eden.
(GEN 2:10-14) and of course the Four Horsemen of the
Apocalypse. (REV 6:1-8)

The most significant multiple of four is Forty, which means
"Probation." Such as rain flood the Earth for Forty days
(GEN 7:12) The children wondered the wilderness for Forty
years.( EX 16:35), and Jesus withstood satan's temptations
for Forty days. (MARK 1: 1 3).

FIVE: Denotes               

SIX: Denotes the human number. It is the hallmark
of mankind, God created man on the Sixth day (GEN 1-27-31);
man works six days a week. The hours of our day are a
multiple of the number Six. Also the great men in the Bible
that stood out against God (Goliath, Nebuchadnezzar, and the
satan ) are all emphatically marked with the number Six.
(REV 13:18)

SEVEN: Denotes spiritual perfection. It is the hallmark of 
the Holy Spirit at work. Also the number Seven is the number 
which regulates every period of Incubation and Gestation,
in insects, birds, animals, and mankind.

EIGHT: Denotes a new beginning.

NINE Denotes finality or judgment. The number Nine
is seen in all cases when judgment is the subject.

TEN: Denotes Ordinal Perfection. Such as the Ten
Commandments ( EX 20:2-17) It is another new first after
the Ninth digit, when numeration commences anew.

ELEVEN: Denotes disorder, and disorganization. (2 KINGS 25:2)
and (JER 52:5)

TWELVE: Denotes Governmental perfection. It is the number or
factor of things that have to do with government in the Heavens
and on Earth. Such as The Twelve Tribes of Israel, ( GEN 49:28)
and Twelve Apostles. (MARK 3:14) etc.

THIRTEEN: Denotes rebellion. It is written: "In the thirteenth year
they rebelled' (GEN 14:4)

Now Beloved, I hope that will help you find a deeper level of

My Children

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” – Luke 15:20

A few years ago, in our son's mailbox there was a letter addressed, “To the Parents of _______ [our son's name],” so he dutifully gave it to us. It was information about a student loan. We all had a good laugh about it because this student was now a grown man! He had recently decided to go back to school because he felt he could now give it his undivided attention.

Actually, it felt good to read the words “To the Parents of.” It reminded me that no matter how old your children are, they are always your children. Wherever they travel, your heart and prayers go with them. If they suffer pain, you suffer also. You are always concerned with their decisions and plans, though you no longer make decisions for them. It is impossible to become an “unparent.”

This even holds true for a child who makes poor choices in life. Today's focus verse comes from the story of the Prodigal Son, who decided to take his inheritance early and leave home. The young man chose a destructive lifestyle, and although Scripture does not say what the father felt, we can imagine his heartbreak. By the fact that the father was watching for his wayward son's return, we know that his love was steadfast in spite of his son's actions.

When we surrender our lives to God and ask Jesus to be our Savior, we become children of God (Romans 8:16). Being human, the only way we can begin to comprehend the great love God has for His children is to relate it to how we feel about our own children. Yet God's love is far greater.

If God loves us so much that He would give His only begotten Son, Jesus, to suffer and die on a cross, then imagine how He must hurt when a person chooses to turn away from Him. Knowing that one is headed toward a lost eternity, He grieves even more than we do. Like us, God cannot forget even the ones who decide to leave Him.

The Bible says that God is not willing that any should perish. When we pray for our unsaved children, we can claim promises in God's Word and trust that He is calling after them. Though they make poor decisions, we never stop loving them, and neither will God. He wants them to be in His care even more than we do.
